Personally, I'm Excited for the 37th season of the PBA, having coach Siot as our coach, and knowing him, he will have a more player rotation than coach Jong. I hope that Reil Cervantes, Ginebra's 9th pick will have its share of playing time. And now, I will give reasons why Reil deserves that playing time.
- Reil is a kind of player who is not afraid to bang bodies with others. And with the status of the Kings, they need big men who really fights inside the paint, and with Reil joining with the likes of the Raging Bull and the Scrapper, this will be a good season for the Kings when it comes to fighting for their bragging rights inside the paint.
- Reil is a swagger. There's no way that you will gain respect from the Ginebra fans, if you don't have that attitude! Man, this will be ugly! Paul Lee know's that after all.
- Reil has a descent outside shot. With the likes of the Spark driving in the hole, and having Major Pain working in the post, it's nice to have another big man who is consistent in his jumper for the kick out pass.
- Reil wants to play for Ginebra. If your player has that passion to the game, if he really pushing it hard just to play, then he deserves to be in the player rotation.
- Being a Big man, and being drafted by the Kings means you have something. The last time Ginebra drafted a real big man was when they drafted Rommel Adducul, (I considered Holper a wing man,, while Theodore Hawkins Jr just faded away) it is obvious that Ginebra will choose a guard if they've notice that the only available big man is not that good. Ask Timberlake, Escalona, Labagala, and Martinez.
