Contrary to popular belief, there most certainly is an "I" in "team." It is the same "I" that appears three times in "responsibility."

Free Agency New Rule and Unlimited Height for Import

Finally after 37 years of existence, the Philippine Basketball Association is now a "pro-player" league. As a fan of PBA. it's disappointing to know that the team has a "right of refusal rule" for their players. With this rule, if team B wants to get the services of a player from team A by increasing its salary, team B can match the offer and automatically the player will remain to team A. And because of that. the players has a slim chance to join a team of their choice, the only process that they can go there is by trading the player itself. Now with this new rule, after 6 years of playing in the league, the player can choose wherever team he wants to go. This rule will apply from this 2011 batch of rookies, which for me is a "WHAT THE HECK" move. Because of this move, the players in this league except from this rookie batch has still no rights to play in their team of choice right now. I am still hoping that this rule will apply to all PBA players, c'mon PBA board, free your players, give them the freedom to choose their team.

Meanwhile, we all know that the first conference, All Filipino Cup will start on October 2. But many of PBA fans are excited for the 2nd conference because the Unlimited Height for import is finally back. Having behemoth imports will definitely put a lot of action back in PBA. Also it will help the Filipino big Men to learn from their import other strategies to improve themselves. Also, I really like this Unlimited Import Rule, because if Marcus Douthit plays in this cup, because Marcus can train a little bit. Last Commisioner's cup, it is quite obvious that Marcus dominated the league because Import can only play if he's only 6'4 and below.
