Contrary to popular belief, there most certainly is an "I" in "team." It is the same "I" that appears three times in "responsibility."

Air Cañada tried, but the Tamaraws prevailed..

Last week was an awesome week for the students from San Marcelino based school, when the Falcons placed second in the Final Four Standings, it means a lot for the school, having a twice to beat advantage will definitely give you an edge.  It was a celebration for them, having a chance of playing in the finals especially against the Eagles... it will really be ecstatic!
But everyone also knows that it will not be easy, facing the Tamaraws led by the former MVP RR Garcia and a Gilas Stalwart Aldrech Ramos.

Last Thursday, was the start of that quest, an Adamson win will give them the ticket to the finals. It was a close first half, but the Tamaraws was resilient to win that game, their lead ballooned to 20 points. The Falcons was not ready to lose, they tried to have a one final push,  Aley Nuyles fired 10 points during that 4th quarter assault, but it was not enough, FEU wins that one 59-49.

The 18th of September came, it was a jam packed Smart Araneta Coliseum, who will this time? Will Falcons claw its way to the finals? Or  will  the Tamaraws sneak by? It was a nice day for College hoops, and eveyone was anticipating a good match. Well, the players did not disappoint them as both teams brought their A -games. FEU leads, but Adamson fought its way back, FEU regained the lead. With less than 3 minutes left, it was a 10 point for the Tamaraws, the world of every falcon started to blur... not until a guy named AIR Cañada came to life. Scoring 12 of his 14 points in that final stretch. The lead of FEU came down to 3 points. But Aldrech Ramos proved why he deserved to be a part of the SMART GILAS selection, hitting a trey with less than a minute left that finally closed the door for the Falcons. The game finished with FEU winning 78-74. That was the last game of Jeric Canada, Lester Alvarez, Jan Colina, etc. in the UAAP, they tried their best, but it was just not enough.

It was a gallant effort for the Falcons, but it's not about them anymore, It's now about the Tamaraws proving to the world, that they still one of the best in College Basketball.

Kudos to both teams.
