Contrary to popular belief, there most certainly is an "I" in "team." It is the same "I" that appears three times in "responsibility."

Eligibility of Gilas players questioned

Challenges seem to never stop for our national bet, Smart Gilas.

Over the past months, we hear of several not-so-good news from the team. There's the departure of several key players, coach Toroman's future with the team, priorities of the players to name a few. The team, has responded to these challenges and has finally assembled a formidable team to compete in FIBA. But before someone could say "all systems go!", this came out (from the smart gilas fb page):
Coach Chot: "Breaking news from Wuhan: Lebanons Hagop questioning eligibilty of Lassiter & Lutz. Foreigner daw sila e they both played na sa champs cup, stankovic, SEABA & Asian games. We have til b4 d game Tom to prove otherwise. Labo! We submitted our lineup w Lutz & Lassi end-august Pa,but now Lang nag complain. Were working on it now w help of SBP & Moying M.Dasal Bayan!"
This came out three hours ago, as of this posting. Well, whoever read this, really prayed hard as three hours later, this came out:

Charles Tiu: "Was hoping the news of Marcio and Chris would be kept here only but guess it is out. I'm told not to worry though and that everything will be fine. They're both going to play and start for us tomorrow! they probably recognized we have a good team and wanna sabotage us."
I hope we could safely say that this is the last "outside the playing court" challenge that the RP5 meets, but we all know that to be nothing but wishful thinking. Should this be a dirty tactic from the opposing team, then what a shame. Basketball should be done inside the court and not outside.  Basketball, like all sports about the love of the game, respect and sportsmanship.
